I hate to say it was bad, but I'm being nice. I ordered 3 tacos steak, chicken, and shrimp drove back home upon arrival set down to enjoy looked in it jerk chicken all three I wouldn't even call it jerk chicken, just as dry as a summers day I started to take it back, but I took it as a life lessons when you learn to check your order before you leave but I will give it another try just for the ox tails only but I'm skeptical even about that.

I recently visited Tacebuds and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. I ordered shrimp and fries, along with a 6-piece wing and fries at 10:41 pm (order number 33). Despite waiting for an hour and 15 minutes, I received the wrong food – 10 wings and fries instead of the shrimp and fries I ordered. I observed others receiving their orders promptly, even those who arrived after me. The staff seemed disorganized, and despite my attempts to inquire about my order, it took multiple interactions before they realized the mistake. The final blow came when I received the incorrect order again upon returning home. As someone who has praised this place before, this level of service was both ridiculous and unacceptable. I hope they address these issues promptly to maintain the reputation they deserve.

I hate to say "never again". We ordered a large oxtail dinner, 3 pcs Catfish with fries and Jerk salmon dinner. I love Chicago food and THIS AINT IT. They were out of oxtails but sold it to us anyway. Ask if I wanted something else or a refund. I asked for a refund. They couldn't refund my card so the gave me $40 in cash. Even though it should have been $41.58. We got home the salmon was so small, no jerk and actually taste like tuna. The Catfish was just ok. We support black businesses and want to see them thrive. As a chef myself I hope they do better in the future.

Nothing about the pasta was jerk. The sauce was so thick and bitter tasting, the fried chicken had zero seasoning in it, the steak rice bowl was not good at all it tastes like they used that steakum's meat on it (yuck) and the rice on it was cold and just overall this food was a no go!

1st time eating from here the place was pretty busy (evening). So we did takeout. Jerk chicken pizza was pretty good and a nice flavor and fried chicken was a bit too greasy for me. Would def come back to try more items on the menu!! They have daily specials I believe on follow them on IG

Definitely some of the best food I’ve had since moving to Dallas. The menu has options for everyone but they are Chicago natives so you can see the Chicago flair in their menu. My friend and I ordered multiple items including the super cheesesteak and the catfish Poboy. Everything was seasoned to perfection and pipping hot when we got it. The lady working the register gladly answered all of our questions as it was our first time there. They also have a wide array of lemonade flavors ranging from pineapple to wedding cake. They definitely have something for everyone. It is short order cooking NOT fast food so be prepared to wait but it’s well worth the wait. We will definitely be back.

Me and my coworker tried this place for lunch and I was thoroughly disappointed 😔 the catfish and fries were soggy and tasted like it was cooked in old grease. We ordered our fish at the same time and her's looked darker than mine as if the grease it was fried in was even older. I have had better catfish. Maybe the other items on the menu are better idk.

I walked inside the vibes were really right on time for the holidays, they were decorating for Christmas, good music, it smelled really good, and everyone was all smiles! It was my first time visiting so I did need a little help deciding what I wanted. Ty was very patient & helpful she had absolutely no problem helping me figure out what I really wanted! The food came out within 15-20 minutes not bad at all for the quality of the food. I will definitely be back 👍🏾
